• Welcome to my blog!

Hello, I'm a Vancouver, BC based photographer who loves shooting weddings, portraits, events, and more... please check out my portfolio galleries for a glimpse of my work!

A wedding photographer has an awesome responsibility. There is only one opportunity to get the shots of those moments. I am honored each time a couple puts their faith in me to deliver beautiful images.

I love working for couples who agree that getting the photography right on their wedding day is of utmost importance. After all, when it's all said and done, all that will remain of the flowers, decorations, cake... and just about everything else from that day will be the images of them that I have documented. They better be great!

I am normally a man of few words (ironically, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communications), and perhaps that's why I have gravitated to photography as a career - a picture is worth a thousand words, so I like to just let my images do the talking.

Family Portrait Session | Vancouver Portrait Photographer

A while ago, an old high school buddy called me out of the blue. I had run into him over a year ago (at a funeral, of all places). He remembered that I told him I was a photographer, so when it came time for his family to document this time in history, he asked me to do the honours.

Luka and his wife weren’t sure how I could get nice shots right in their home (as opposed to going to a studio), but that is just the kind of thing I enjoy doing. That is, coming into my client’s environment, where they are really the most comfortable… especially when there are children in the mix. All we did was move a couch and coffee table out of the way, I set up my lights, and voila – instant photo studio!

After shooting a bit indoors, we took the kids down to the park at the end of the block and had some more fun with them. I think we did well!

Sarah & Zoltan’s Vancouver Wedding

I recently shot Sarah and Zoltan’s wedding here in Vancouver. It’s kinda of funny (or maybe weird) how often I do a wedding and think that they lucked out on the nicest day of the year so far. Or maybe it’s just me. Sarah and the girls got ready at Sheraton Wall Centre downtown, and we all met for the ceremony at West Point Grey United Church. Afterwards, we took a few photos at West Point Grey Park, where Sarah played as a child. Then we headed to the reception location and shot some more around the grounds.

A few things that we really cool about their wedding were: their wedding “cake” was actually a pie (Zoltan’s favorite dessert), the fact that Zoltan is an avid photographer himself, and was even a professional a few years back (him trusting me to be his wedding photographer meant that much more to me), and the fact that Sarah’s 98 year Grandmother was in attendance… how special is that!

Michael Cuccione Foundation – Primavera Sneak Peak

This past Friday, I volunteered my services at the Primavera Fundraiser for the the Michael Cuccione Foundation. At the age of 9, Michael Cuccione was diagnosed with cancer. And, until he passed away in 2001 from his illness at the age of 16, he worked to raise money to help research in finding a cure for childhood cancers. Since then, others are carrying on with his message and efforts. The Primavera event is just one wonderful example… A fine meal, entertainment, and a good cause.

Michael’s story is amazing and inspirational. Please follow the link above to learn more about Michael and the work that goes on in his name.

For all of you who attended the Primavera event, the following link will soon have all the “paparazzo” images I captured as you arrived.

If you decide to have a copy for yourself, remember that the first 4×6 is complementary by using the $5 credit that you will receive upon pre-registration on the site. I’ll have the images up in a few days so please do pre-register to be able to take advantage of the credit. In the meantime, here is a little sneak peak at some of the shots!

Andreja & Robert’s Engagement

Earlier this week, I went out to Jericho Beach with Andreja and Rob for their engagement session. Rob works out of town – two weeks on, two weeks off, so it’s been a challenge scheduling his availability with the weather. Boy, did we luck out on the weather. The clouds looked beautiful!

I posted a bunch of B&W photos here, which I really don’t usually end up doing, but Andrea mentioned that she was thinking of printing some in B&W. Well, here are some examples!

Notice in the last photo that we ended up being followed by what looks like A Russian spy drone. Very mysterious!?
